JulieOn Thursday September 26th from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. the North Bay Heritage Gardeners will host a free and public Education Night at the North Bay Museum. The topic will cover streambank and shoreline planting with native plant species. Guest speaker Julie Falsetti from the Stewardship Team at the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority (NBMCA) will share planting plans for shorelines and streambanks, as well and information regarding NBMCA’s Restore Your Shore program which provides free plants and planting for property owners who live along lakes, rivers, streams and wetlands.

Education Nights help our volunteers and the community expand their knowledge of gardening, horticulture and the environment. The topics for these events vary anywhere from heritage trees to discussing gardening with pollinators. The events are free learning opportunities and anyone is welcome to join. Presentations are approximately 45 minutes long, leaving room for questions and discussion.
