About us

The North Bay Heritage Gardeners are a local, non-profit organization with over 200 volunteer gardeners who maintain and enhance the gardens along the North Bay waterfront. We encourage community spirit so that current and generations in North Bay can flourish and enjoy the benefits that we have today.

  • Gardening season runs from May to October each year, kicking off with a spring community cleanup in May.
  • Teams typically spend 1-2 hours per week maintaining their garden bed.
  • Volunteerism is the cornerstone of the Heritage Gardeners’ success.

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just looking to try something new, we welcome volunteers of all skill levels to join us at the museum. Our friendly community of volunteers will make sure you feel welcome and we will be sharing our expertise with you, so you that you can get started or take your gardening skills to the next level.
